The Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB) is department of Agriculture Research & Education (Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR) ), Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India. It is as an independent recruitment agency established on 1 November 1973 in pursuance of the recommendations of the Gajendragadkar Committee.

Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB) and ICAR invites online application for eligible candidates clearing National Eligibility Test (NET) Examination 2013-2014 that will help candidates qualify for the post of Lecturers and Assistant Professors in the State and other Agricultural Universities. Pre-requisites for applying
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have a Masters degree or an equivalent in the concerned discipline to apply for the exam, Candidates who get through the Examination successfully can apply for relevant vacancies at State Agricultural Universities (SAUs) and other Agricultural Universities (AUs).

Selection process: Candidates are selected based on minimum marks acquired in NET Examination Un-reserved(UR) (General) / OBC(Creamy layer) - 55% , OBC(Non-Creamy layer) - 50% , SC / ST/ Physically Challenged(PC) Person - 45%

Application Fee: of Rs. 1000/- for General Candidates, Rs. 500/-for OBC Candidates, Rs. 250/-for SC/ST/PC Candidates. Application fee can be submitted through the online /NEFT/ Challan payment.

Others details: Number Of Attempts for appearing NET Examination is Limited to five.
